Psychiatric Rehabilitation
There are a limited number of nursing facilites in Illinois designated specifically for the care of persons with mental illnesses. SIR Management, Inc. takes pride in the quality of care provided in its 4 intermediate care facilities for the mentally ill. Our psychiatric rehabilitation programs offer residents the opportunity to manage their illnesses in an environment less restrictive and less expensive than the state hospital. Independent living in a more normalized environment contributes to an improved quality of life.

| Availability of Medical Services: | Medical doctors, including psychiatrists, visit the facility on a regular basis, as needed. Nursing care and other medical services are available. |
| Medication Management and Monitoring: | Residents are assured that their medication is available and distributed as prescribed by the physicians. |
| Meals and Nutritional Support: | Special diets are provided to meet the individual nutritional needs of each resident. |
| Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services: | Professional staff assist residents in meeting their stated life goals by collaboratively developing an individual care plan with objectives and interventions to address identified needs. Staff meet with residents in both individual and group settings. |
| Recreation and Leisure Activities: | Residents are offered the opportunity to engage in a large variety of activities to meet their interests inside and outside the facility. |
| Rehabilitation and Discharge Planning: | Staff assist residents to obtain the skills they need to live as independently as possible. For those residents who are ready to live in a less restricted setting, staff provide resource materials and referrals for help outside the facility to forward a realistic discharge plan. |
